This is some text inside of aI have several important updates to share. First, welcome to AMIC’s new home on the web. Over the past few years, the pandemic made it abundantly clear that the world was moving online to keep us connected and informed. While our previous website served us well over the years — with many thanks to webmaster Dr. Jerry Manoukian — the executive board felt the time was right to revisit the website’s look and functionality. We concluded that a refresh was in order.

The new website is evolving, but we envision a digital hub for us all that fosters communication, education, synergies, and inspiration while promoting the work of AMIC and its member organizations. Here’s where we need your help. Each organization will have a dedicated page on the AMIC site. We want to showcase your projects, events, and news. AMIC will update the pages, but we will ask you to supply the updates.

The second update of importance is the 13th Armenian Medical World Congress, which took place this past November. Rescheduling the 2020 congress to the following year was a disappointment. A trip to Russia in 2021 was not in the cards, though, as the pandemic lingered on.
‍
Undeterred, the AMWC organizing committee explored ways to hold the congress virtually while maintaining the spirit and intent of the event. The committee pulled it off beautifully, creating a relevant and interesting program with a stellar panel of experts, brought to you through the magic of Zoom. I would be remiss if I did not thank the committee, whose dedication and creativity resulted in a successful maiden virtual congress. Job well done!

Meanwhile, you can watch or re-watch the presentations from the recent congress on this website. Also, mark your calendars for the 6th International Congress of Armenia, taking place July 6 – 8, 2023.

Over the past two years, AMIC’s work focused on the dual crises in Armenia and Artsakh. This was an incredibly challenging period for all of us, but together we accomplished what once seemed impossible. The responses we mounted were often urgent and complex, but we made it happen. You made it happen. For that, I am deeply grateful.
