The 13th Armenian Medical World Congress took place November 6 and 7, 2021. The congress takes place every four years, bringing together healthcare professionals from around the globe, united by a common goal to build a healthy and prosperous Armenia and Artsakh. The theme of the congress was, Setting the Stage for Synergy and Collaboration to Ensure a Healthy and Prosperous Nation.
The 13th congress was quite different from past years, as the event was held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic. The lack of didn't dampen the participants' enthusiasm, however. The nearly 600 participants were privy to extraordinary presentations from an impressive panel of healthcare experts. They covered topics that addressed the current healthcare issues facing Armenia and the world.
There were presentations from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia and Republic of Artsakh, the National Institute of Health, the High Commissioner’s Office for Diaspora Affairs, Yerevan State Medical University, the American University of Armenia, the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and more.
